Happy Halloween!

If you ask Sully what he is he will tell you he's an "ark" which is his way of saying shark.

One very adorable shark if you ask me.

Mom

Dear Mom,

I am thankful for the life you gave me growing up.  We had so much fun!  A surprise trip to Disneyland when Stephen and I thought we were going to Nevada.  Countless trips to Mexico and the beach in California.  There was lots of camping, fishing, dancing, swimming, hiking, chocolate chip making extravaganzas.  Mostly there was a whole lot of love(and laughter) and there still is.  Thank you for being my mom, a true blessing in my life.

I love you.

Happy Easter!

He was trying to put another plastic egg up in the tree.

The home made play-dough was a hit!

We had such a great day!  Happy Easter everyone!

Valentine's Day

Sullivan is such a sweetheart.  When he woke up from his nap this afternoon I grabbed my camera and snapped a few pictures of his delicious face.

He loves playing on the bed or couch.  Anything with pillows.

A few days ago I sewed these little angel pants for Sully.  The pattern looked kind of like little cupids to me. I loved the fabric so much I made a couple pillow cases for our bed this morning.  I just traced a pillow case that I already had, cut it out, then ran it through the serger and that was it.

Sully let me know that picture taking right after nap time is not ideal.  Duly noted my dear. Duly noted.

We finished off our Valentine's day with my first ever attempt at a souffle.  It turned out to be a joint effort but came together perfectly.

It was everything I dreamed it would be and more.  So creamy, light, and decadent.  Arty and I both LOVED it!

 Happy Valentine's Day!

Arizona for the holidays

My parent's navel orange tree is ridiculous this year.  The oranges are HUGE!  I wish I was still there eating a nice cold orange right now.

We stopped by my grandparent's house and Sully loved the big yard!  I used to walk down this narrow path between the bush and the house when I was growing up too!  Sully found it all on his own.

My mom and grandma trying to wrangle the little guy for a picture.

Laughing as he escaped and continued on his way

We went to the park a couple times.

And Sully loved the slide.  This was his first time ever going down the slide.

Huge smile :)

First father and son ride down the slide.  So cute!

Man I forgot what going down a slide felt like!  It was scary!  As you can see I am gripping him tightly haha!  I went down this slide on a different day by myself and I flew off the bottom and landed in a hole.  Of course the park was packed with people that day.  It was embarrassing.

Christmas Eve...trying to get a good picture.

Sully wasn't happy...poor baby boy.

Another try.

Taking a walk through my aunt and uncle's neighborhood looking at the pretty Christmas lights on Christmas Eve.

I have so many more pictures and things to update! Stay tuned!

The holiday's so far

So far this holiday season I burned through all of our butter baking only to have two separate batches of cookies completely fail.  It was bad.

I mailed out our family Christmas card and I went to town decorating both sides of each envelope.  I wish I could see people's reaction when they get it.  Hahaha these envelopes make me laugh!

Not sure why the smaller snow flake looks yellow when it was bright green in person...oh well!

Sullivan is LOVING to point at things even me!  He guides me around the house with that finger pointing and making noises when he sees something he wants to touch.

Lots of smiles today.

He gives me this look when he's up to something.

Laughing and laughing.

Here is what all those smiles and chuckles were about...

Opening a gift (puzzle of Puerto Rico, where Arty is from).  Naughty but too cute to not take pictures of :)

All of our gifts have wrapping paper ripped somewhere on it due to Sullivan's curiosity.  And somehow all of the ornaments have migrated to the upper branches of the tree!

Speaking of tree, this week Arty asked me if I looked at the tree and when I did this is what I found.

Yes, those are the dentures he made at school in the tree!  I had to laugh and then I told him most wives find coins in the washing machine but I find these...

Plastic teeth.  Fun stuff!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi mom and dad!  We're watching the parade right now.  I wish we could all be doing this together.  Mom, I  imagine that you are peeling apples for your apple pie and assembling crust in your pie dish.  Dad, maybe you took Henry for a walk?  I love you guys so much and miss you more than anything.

AND...

A big shout out to my brother...

HAPPY 25TH BIRTHDAY STEPHEN!
