3 months

This little guy has rolled from belly to back and back to belly now.  He's just over 3 months!!!

The three words I think best capture who he is at this stage are:

1. content.  Oh is he ever content.  He loves to sleep, cuddle, eat, and lay around taking in everything that surrounds him.  And by the way who doesn't like to do those things??

2.  charming.  He is quite the charmer.  His eyes are always looking for us and when catches our gaze he lets out the most delicious smiles.  His whole body balls up with excitement and his big gummy smile is out of control.  You can't help but smile back.  He is irresistible.

3.  strong.  Just like Sully, Felix is a strong boy.  Besides rolling he has great head control and has from the first week of his life.  He pops that head up to look around like a little curious turtle.  Plus he likes standing tall.

We are all completely smitten with this little guy Sully calls "Fix."
I catch them smiling at each other ::sigh:: and Sully showers him with kisses and hugs.  This right here is fun to watch.  I live for this.  These two boys melt my heart over and over again.

Felix at 3 months wears size 2 diapers. Size 6-9 month clothes.  Weighs 20 pounds according to our home scale.

Sullivan at 22 Months

Its hard to believe that our boy is 22 months old.  He is so full of personality and is almost always busy moving things around or trying to figure something out.  He is already becoming more independent each day, satisfied to line up cars or stack blocks in the shape of sailboats.  Of course he likes mama to play too, he especially likes me to draw little fish on paper, but its nice to see him using his imagination all on his own.

(car-wash)

Sully has been saying "mommy-o trash" because one day a couple weeks ago he saw me run outside and give the garbage men our trash.  Now every time he helps me throw something away he'll say those words.

More words he says often:
Daddy & Mommy-sometimes daddy-o & mommy-o
Tractor
Bagel(sounds like be-bull)
Boat
George and Georgie-from Curious George, his current favorite
Cookie(emphasis on the ooookie)
Please(peas)
Thank you
Ice
Rice(sounds like ice)
Pock Pock-because that's what hens sound like so when he says it he wants to eat chicken :)
Wheels
Beep-cars
Bops-balls, motorcycles, & bikes
Up
No
Oh my

Sullivan has been doing so much better in the sleep department. Some of you may remember that we co-slept pretty much for a year and a half.  These days I'll put him in his crib around 8:30-9:00 and sing him our night night song(silent night) and rub his back and he'll sleep until 5:30-6:30.  The past few weeks of this have been some of the best nights sleep I have had since he's been born.  I am so thankful for hours of continuous sleep.

(resting his head on my leg, while we were playing on the floor)

Even though he is sleeping on his own at night he still loves to cuddle and I cherish that time we have together.

This is what he does when he is pausing to think.  He'll put a finger over his lips and go "hmmmmm."

(one of the only pictures I could get while he was still haha)

Lately we've been meeting up with a group of moms at the park and just recently the kids have really started interacting with each-other.  They will collect rocks in the same bucket, or take turns rolling cars down the slides.  Its been fun for Sullivan and so fun for all of us proud mamas too.

(he's resting his hand on my neck/shoulder)

Mostly, I am so in love with the little person that he already is.  He is more than I ever imagined and we are so blessed to have him.  Each day is a new adventure for us and I'm soaking him up.

18 Months Old-(4.23.12)

This post is late (4.23.12 would have been right) but I want it for my own record.

There is a little story about this small hammer.  A few days ago Sully saw me hammer a nail into the wall.  He was hooked immediately.  I found an old piece of wood and let him knock it around while being closely supervised.  Its one of the highlights of his day.  He asks for it by running and pointing to area where I keep it and will say "this" on repeat until I get the hint.

We went to the park today and behind the park is a little forest with a walking path.  This picture was taken before I saw a small snake, from that point on we stayed on the trail.

You were watching a Caterpillar.

Dear Sullivan,
I wondered why there were no other kids at the park until I saw you head straight to the puddles.  My first reaction was to pick you up and go, but then I saw how much fun you were having.  A little dirt? No problem. That's why we do bath time every-night.

I always take you to these tennis courts to see if anyone left behind a ball or two.  Well, today was our lucky day!  We found one ball and there was more puddles of water.  Your favorite!

You sat in one puddle.

And then you were concerned about another caterpillar.  You see just a few minutes before, we saw one in the woods and I let it crawl up on the stick you were carrying.  That caterpillar made its way on to your hand and right as you started reaching to grab it with your other hand, mama screamed LOUD.  It just happened on accident(I didnt want to see guts).   After mama screamed, you cried and the only thing that cheered you up was seeing a barking dog.  Then as we walked back out of the woods I apologized over and over and told you that caterpillars are nice but that mama is not good with bugs.  I hope you understand.  I love you my big big boy.

ps.  When Papa saw this picture of a caterpillar he told me he thought it was a centipede and that he squished one the other day.  Oops.

One never looked so good.

Today was "warm" so we went to the park and I took pictures of this cute little guy in celebration of him turning one yesterday.

I brought along his new firetruck that my parents got him for his birthday.  Its super cute and mostly metal.  I put him on it and lift his feet up and give him a little ride, but soon he'll be able to scoot around on it.

Today he was all about walking.  Even when he plopped down, he was working hard to get back up.

Haha...looks like he's striking a pose.

This picture cracks me up.  Either he's pointing like a number one or he's trying to pick his nose.  I doubt he was doing either but it's still cute!

Caught him mid-step and in deep concentration.

I think he looks like such a little man.

Pure sweetness...mixed with a little dirt on those toes. :)

Loved the leaves.

I loved our day outside today.  It was just what we needed.
