Embracing the Camera Today

Here we are just playing and taking pictures.  Today I did a motorboat noise that Sullivan likes and then he made the exact motion with his sweet lips.  And he started blowing bubbles too!

Simple Sweet Days

Well, we woke up to lots of this.

And I thought it would be fun to snap some pictures of the little man and I out in it.

I'm not sure if he enjoyed the snow or not but he definately looked cute!

Then we lounged a bit.

and... I sewed a hole in Arty's pajama pants and threw in a load of laundry and tried to straighten up a bit.  Arty helped with dinner and then I whipped up some super delicious chocolate chip cookies.  Little Sullivan has been making the cutest cooing sounds.  I am obsessed with them.

Today was simple.  Simple is sweet!

Dance Party and Such

So Sully and I had a little dance party this afternoon.  I put him on our bed and did my thing.  I have never enjoyed getting laughed at while dancing as much as I did today.  I really had some crazy moves! Like my arms were everywhere and I was hopping around.  If my neighbors saw me I am sure they thought I was trying to swat a bee or having a seizure.  Then he started to get a little tired of that so I swooped him up in my arms and continued the dancing.  I think we found a fun new activity.

We also met up with Arty for lunch and I worked on a sewing project.  I am in the process of making a seat cover for the BOB stroller we have.  After seeing whats going on with the car seat (think spit up) I think it is necessary to protect the stroller before he uses it.

Check out that eyebrow control.  This is while I was dancing for him.

About to start dancing with me...ha!

Just giving those piggies kisses

Today's Happenings

Not much to report today.  Arty started another semester of dental school so Sully and I ran some errands.  He had a few explosive diapers so I changed his clothes twice.  Today he discovered the sound button on this toy that straps on to his car seat.

Here we are...this is his first outfit
He likes sucking on his fists now...I couldnt get it in a picture because he's alway moving :)
He's wearing 3-6 month clothes now!
Second outfit
This was my brother's t-shirt when he was a baby and the pants are from H&M. I love their baby clothes.

Things I Can Do While Holding A Baby

I'm sure all new mom's can relate.
Before I had a baby I never knew what a luxury it was to be able to use both hands doing day to day activities.  I hold Sully for a good portion of the day and here is a small list of what I can do while holding a baby and using one hand.

I can...

load and unload the dishwasher
write e-mails
pour myself cereal...especially kashi go lean crunch
fold clothes very slowly
start a new load of laundry
make coffee
brush my teeth
put pants on
put socks and shoes on

That's about all I can come up with.  That list seems pretty short written out but in my head I thought there were more things I can do one handed.  Well, I am sure I'll think of more.  One other random bit of information I didn't know before I had a baby is that baby poop can stain clothes.  I learned this over the past week when there were several diapers that failed us.

Sullivan one day short of 11 weeks.  He has so many expressions...I love kissing those sweet cheeks.

Embrace The Photo

Its so hard to take pictures of yourself with a wiggly baby soooooo this is what I ended up with today.

We went to IKEA today and I got striped and polka dotted fabric on sale for 1.99/yard.  Then I got three fabrics in a bag in the "as is" section for 2.00 total!!  We went there so I could get a sewing and crafting table/desk, but we just discovered the legs are too wide for the table top so we will be making the trip to IKEA again this weekend.  Its about an hour drive. Sully was so good walking around in the ERGO carrier, he just falls right asleep in it.  I don't know what we would do if we didn't have one.  And I just have to mention that my handsome man made delicious chili and cornbread for dinner. He's taken over the kitchen during the last three weeks but he goes back to dental school on Monday.  I know I will miss having him home and having him cook!
