Anthro-Inspired Abstract Painting

A few weeks ago I fell in love with this painting from Anthropologie.  I knew that I could paint my own with a similar color scheme.

Here is my version.  It's definitely not the same but I really love the colors.

A couple things.  I re-used this 18x24 canvas.  This is the third time I painted on it.  I learned from Little Blue Boo that you can paint over any canvas (even old thrift store paintings) with white ghesso and you are good to go.  I wish I had a canvas that was 60x40 like the original painting.  I am sure it is even more stunning in person.

Now that I see them next to each other mine hardly compares...however I am really enjoying how bright and cheery it is.  Plus it only took one night to complete.  And it was basically free.  WIN!

I repurpose stuff all the time. It NEVER looks nearly as close to the original as yours.
